What we do

Asphalt Production

Our 80 tonne per hour asphalt plant based at Mowbray services the needs of private and government customers. From asphalt driveways, commercial carparks through to sealing new roads and airport runways, no job is too small or big for Fulton Hogan (formerly Venarchie).

Road Surfacing

Fulton Hogan’s (formerly Venarchies) highly experienced, well-trained teams have been completing surfacing works for State Government, Councils, commercial and private customers across Tasmania for nearly 30 years.  Our access to quality bitumen, combined with our extensive manufacturing and laboratories facilities, means our products are all certificated to the highest standards.

Road Maintenance

We don’t just surface roads, we can look after them for the long-haul as well. As part of the broad Fulton Hogan business across Australia and New Zealand, we currently manage over 15,000km of roads.

Fulton Hogan’s technical expertise and capabilities enables us to deliver complex, high-performing pavement solutions for many major port projects across Tasmania. We understand the unique operating conditions in ports and container handling facilities require equally unique pavement solutions. Using highly specialised pavement products, we deliver tough, durable pavements that provide excellent wear characteristics and long life surfaces.

Most airports don’t have the luxury of closing down during for construction work. Fulton Hogan brings advanced risk-management strategies into play, combined with a large fleet of mobile asphalt plants, so that construction work can run safely alongside existing operations without risk to people or property. Most importantly, we have the testing regimes which meet the most demanding safety and regulatory specifications.

Traffic Management

Making sure worksites are safe is important to the team at Fulton Hogan (formerly Venarchie) and our Island Traffic Management team provides this important service in-house. Our teams are highly trained to carefully plan works to minimise traffic disruptions and providing the safest working conditions for our people.
